The Flood, Part III
Friday Aug 28, 2020
Friday Aug 28, 2020
This one deals with the big picture of the Flood, and what was happening, and what it entailed.
This week we pray for those who were in the path of Hurricane Laura, and for those who continue to be affected by the derecho in the midwest.
For our country, and our community. For protection from the affects of the coronavirus, and other illness.
For those who mourn the passing of loved ones.
The hymn is "My Soul, Now Praise Your Maker."

The Flood, Part II
Friday Aug 21, 2020
Friday Aug 21, 2020
This weekend we continue discussing the Flood of Noah as spoken of in the latter half of Genesis 7.
We pray for the communities in Iowa and elsewhere that were terribly effected by severe storms recently, where crops and property were damaged.
We pray that the Lord would be with our elections process as we look to elect our country’s officials in 2020.
We also pray for our military, our police, our early responders, and our medical professionals.
We also pray for the mission of the church.
The hymn this week is "Savior Again to Thy Dear Name We Raise." 917

The Pilot Podcast - March 18, 2020
Thursday Aug 20, 2020
Thursday Aug 20, 2020
This was my pilot podcast. I took the podcast down as part of a testing experiment, but wanted to return it online.
This podcast was created out of necessity during the midst of the COVID pandemic, when congregations were not allowed to meet in assembly. At that point a skeleton crew of myself and other worship leaders were filming a live cast for our church services on Sunday, but I used the podcast in lieu of our midweek Lenten services. It was formatted as our actual midweek Lenten service would be conducted.
THERE WILL be a regular weekly podcast that will be uploaded soon.

The hymn is "Built on the Rock." You've never heard this one like this before.
Though all the hymn's words, and the tune for verse 3 are found in the Lutheran Service book, the tune and harmonies of verse 1,2,4 and 5 are my own. (2020)
The text throughout the song, and the original melody are public domain.

Friday Aug 14, 2020
In this podcast we take a look at the opening of Genesis 7. The Flood of Noah was an event unlike any other . . . and it probably wasn't like you heard or read about in Sunday school. This was a world-changing event . . . .
The hymn is "Built on the Rock." You've never heard this one like this before. Verses 1, 2, 4, and 5 are my own tune and arrangement. (Copyright Chris Truelsen, 2020, all rights reserved.)
Verse 3 melody is public domain.
The text is also public domain.
