Text for discussion: Leviticus 8.
There are golden threads that weave together Scripture and weave throughout Scripture. The theme of redemption is one of those golden threads. Leviticus 8 describes a type of the greater thing to come. The tabernacle shows us a microcosm of the greater redemption to come in Jesus. In these events, God is showing us what is to come. Peering into the Old Testament world is a picture of what Jesus will do in the New Testament world, and what Jesus will bring about when all is finished in this world.
